Car description

The 1972 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1.6 Biscione is a true jewel of Italian automotive history, created with passion and refined in every detail to offer unmatched driving experiences. The Italian advertising slogan was: “Giulia, a car designed by the wind” – and there was not a hint of exaggeration in that. The Giulia was the result of modern technologies; its body was shaped in a wind tunnel, giving it an exceptionally dynamic silhouette. Powered by magnificent, temperamental dual-valve engines that worked perfectly with a five-speed manual transmission, it debuted in 1962 as the 92-horsepower Giulia TI, quickly winning the hearts of Italians, who sought even more thrills – and Alfa Romeo did not disappoint, introducing more powerful versions.

The presented example is a 1972 Giulia Super 1.6 Biscione – the most powerful production version of this model, which stood out not only for its performance but also for its unique stylistic details. Known as “Biscione” since 1969, due to the characteristic serpent image on the rear pillars, the Giulia gained an extraordinary character. Earlier models bore the golden Alfa Romeo logo, known as “Bollo Oro,” and after 1969, the serpent symbol added even more charm. Under the hood lies a 1.6-liter engine developing 103 horsepower, ensuring dynamic acceleration – from 0 to 100 km/h in just 11 seconds.

This particular Giulia Super comes from the French market and was imported to Poland this year, where it received yellow license plates. The car underwent restoration in France between 2017 and 2018, with numerous invoices confirming the extent of the work carried out. Upon arriving in Poland, the Giulia underwent thorough detailing, which further highlighted its unique lines and the beauty of the classic Italian bodywork. Additionally, the car received anti-corrosion protection with clear Innotec wax, allowing it to maintain its condition in perfect shape.

One of the key elements of this car is the lowered suspension, with Koni dampers ensuring excellent handling. The Giulia is fast, precise, and provides immense driving pleasure. Thanks to its character, it serves excellently as a daily companion (“daily driver”), but also as a classic vehicle for participating in touring rallies or competitive regularity events.

The interior of the Giulia does not disappoint either – full of classic Italian accents that make every journey stylish. Details such as the snake symbol Biscione on the pillars, the aluminum strip in the middle of the hood, and the badge on the rear hatch add authenticity and a unique character. The presented example is in Alfa Rosso color, which further emphasizes its sporty style and distinctive silhouette.

The price of 120,000 PLN (or 28,000 €) reflects the quality of this example and its value in the collector's market. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1.6 Biscione is a car that combines Italian elegance, sporty character, and an extraordinary history. It is a vehicle that not only looks beautiful but also offers incredible driving experiences that are hard to find in modern vehicles. An ideal choice for those looking for more than just a car – the Giulia is accompanied by true passion, history, and unforgettable emotions.
